Hi everyone, long time no speak (read?)! I hope you’re all doing fabulously and had a great Christmas and a happy new year. And if you didn’t, it’s just another day of the year, you shouldn’t feel guilty for not having an amazing time just because that’s what ‘society’ says you have to do.
So I’ll do a super quick update on me before I get on to the main event.
I’m not doing too great personally, I’m struggling a lot with things that I’d hoped I’d never have to struggle with again, and definitely not to this extent. I won’t go into detail because I don’t want to trigger any of my lovely readers but if you have anything happy to share then please feel free! It would be very much appreciated…
Talking of happy, me and Lucy met up! We went to a lantern festival and it was very beautiful and lovely for just before Christmas – plus it was amazing to see my ginger dragon and co-writer again after so long 🙂
Now, because I haven’t been feeling particularly inspirational as of late and it’s prevented me from writing on here I thought I’d try something simpler – spread as much positivity as possible without feeling hypocritical. Introducing…
Five Happy Things
I’m hoping that this will become a monthly post so I’ll see you all at least once a month. But now onto January’s ‘Five Happy Things!’
- It’s just been Christmas and even if this was a stressful time for you, there’ll have been at least one element of it that you enjoyed whether it was the food, a particular present you received or even one you enjoyed giving or even just the festive build up.
- This link is to ’26 Lovely Stories That Prove 2016 Wasn’t That Bad of a Year’. Even though lots of crappy things happened in 2016 this link shows that it wasn’t all bad 🙂
- Music. Everyone has at least one song that they associate with good times or just makes them smile; it might even adjust your whole mindset for the rest of the day. Heck, go put it on now while you finish reading the rest of this, I’ll wait! Here’s a link to a playlist for every emotion on the ‘Oh My Disney’ website, another great happy website, especially if you’re a Disney fan (hey, a bonus happy thing – you’re welcome! )
- Here’s a dog about to enjoy his birthday cake…
…and a cat for all you cat people out there!
5) This quote.
‘…and then I fell apart, and it was the most beautiful moment ever, because right then, I realised I could put the pieces back together the way I wanted them to be.’
I hope you enjoyed at least one of the ‘Five Happy Things’ (I mean cake and animals, what’s not to love!) and please leave any ideas for next month or general comments in the comments below 🙂
See you very soon!
*Air hugs* and happy thoughts to all,
